Culion was written by Ricky Lee and directed by Alvin Yapan. It also stars Iza Calzado and Merryl Soriano with a cameo performance from John Lloyd Cruz.
Meanwhile, netizens also tweeted their disappointment on the fate of Culion asking cinemas to bring it back.
You suspended Foreign movies to give way to MMFF movies, yet you also took out 1 film which has more substance than the 3 comedies to make this truly a Festival to showcase the Filipinos. Ibang klase rin ang Cinema owners. #BringBackCulion #SaveCulion
