Angel Locsin proved to be a hero not only in movies and TV but also in real life.
Angel has been named as one of the 2019 Heroes of Philanthropy in a list released by Forbes Asia on Monday, December 2.
According to Forbes Asia, Locsin has donated as much as 15 million pesos in the past decade. Her donation has help different causes like educational scholarships for students, support for economic and political rights of indigenous people, and cessation of violence against women and children.
Just recently, without cameras and media around, Angel, together with fiancé Neil Arce, went to Red Cross Davao to give their truckload of donations for the people affected by the Mindanao earthquake. She also personally went to Cotabato which was badly hit by the earthquake to give their donations to the victims.

Prior to her donation for the Mindanao quake, Locsin has been known for her numerous charity works.
The Kapamilya actress was also there in Marawi helping the war victims after the Marawi crisis broke out. She was also there to help the victims of Ondoy in 2009, Habagat in 2012. and Yolanda in 2013.
Meanwhile, Angel was also recently honored at the 2019 RAWR Awards as the “The Advocate” awardee. RAWR Awards recognized her advocacy with the Red Cross and for possessing a genuinely good heart for others. Angel was also awarded the same in 2015 and 2018 RAWR Awards.
