Jane De Leon opened up about her past rejections in showbiz before winning the role of iconic Pinoy superheroine Darna.
It was on July 17, 2019 when it was announced that Jane had been chosen as the new Darna in the upcoming film, replacing Angel Locsin and Liza Soberano who had to leave due to injuries they had acquired on the set of their respective projects.
“Naranasan ko po lahat. Pumipila ako sa mahahabang linya for VTR for commercials. Pinakamatagal mga 8 to 10 hours,” she said Tonight With Boy Abunda on Monday.
Jane recalled.
The actress then said that she was fortunate to have her mom as her wellspring of solidarity whenever she feels down.
“Kahit nada-down ako nandiyan ang mom ko para i-encourage ako,” she said.
Jane stressed she never stop pursuing her dreams for her family despite the setbacks.
Jane was once a member of Girltrends, a female dance group of ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It’s Showtime. She is also known for her role on the hit teleserye Halik in 2018.
