Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards dished out an exciting detail about the Kapuso primetime series The Gift.
Alden was recently launched as the newest ambassador of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RHMC) Philippines in McDonalds NXTGEN store at Mckinley West in Taguig City.
In a press conference, Alden revealed that a major character of the series will sadly say goodbye soon.
Alden assured viewers that it will be a big plot twist in the series.
“’Yun ‘yung isa sa major twist na mangyayari nitong mga susunod na araw.
“And ‘yung cause of death was by someone who is also essential to the story, so medyo mabigat, medyo pang-gulat po ‘yung episode namin.”
In the recent episodes of the series, it was then revealed that Thia Thomalla’s character Faith Salcedo was the one who eventually died.
The devastated Sep, Alden’s character, then blamed himself for failing to save Faith. Through his unusual ability, Alden later discovered that it was Jared who caused her death.
Meanwhile, Alden also expressed his gratefulness for being picked as the newest ambassador of Ronald McDonald House Charities Philippines (RHMC).
“Sobrang thankful ako for this opportunity that McDonals has given me, kasi I’ve been with the brand since 2015, but prior to that hindi naman lingid sa kaalaman ng lahat na I’ve been doing a lot of campaigns with McDonalds before kahit hindi pa ako endorser.
“So, from a guest artist, to a host nung Assistant Managers convention, to my first Happy Meal experience with Ms. Margaux in 2015 to an endorser, to a franchisee and now ambassador na ng RHMC, it’s really an honor to be part of this family.”
The Kapuso actor then invited fans to join the Stripes Run: Run for Reading to be held at the Mall of Asia this coming December 1 which aims to help the RHMC beneficiaries.
“Samahan niyo po kami for the McDonald’s Stripes Run kasi part of the proceeds will go to RHMC and also doon sa mga bata na nakita natin kanina, sila ‘yung magiging beneficiaries [na mula sa Bahay Bulilit Quirino Manila].”
He stated,“So the McDonald’s Stripes Run is eyeing to raise at least PhP 2 million for these kids para sa kanila ‘yun. So I’m encouraging everyone [to join].”
