Multi-awarded actress Therese Malvar remains a full-fledged Kapuso after she renewed her contract with GMA Artist Center last Thursday, October 31.
Present in the contract signing were GMA Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable and GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President and Head for Talent Imaging and Marketing Unit Simoun S. Ferrer.
A household name in the local indie scene, Therese is delighted to be exploring her passions and talents as a performer in the Kapuso Network, “I’m always forever grateful to GMA, for allowing me to showcase my talent even more and for trusting me and for giving me the opportunity to act on TV, in front of many.”
Asked why she remains loyal to GMA, Therese said, “It’s the freedom to be an artist here in GMA. Like I could be creative enough to accept projects even in movies and on TV. I feel at peace here and I feel at home.”
The numerous acting recognitions she has received from various award-giving bodies, both here and abroad, are testaments to Therese’s drive to continue growing as an artist and excelling in her chosen field.
Earlier this year, Therese starred in the GMA afternoon drama series “Inagaw Na Bituin” alongside Kyline Alcantara. Currently, she is part of the drama-action primetime series “Beautiful Justice” as Hershey Bernardo.
Aside from being an actress, Therese is also an outstanding Grade 12 student at the Marymount Academy in Parañaque City and she aspires to become a lawyer.
Meanwhile, Rasonable revealed what presses the Network’s faith on the Kapuso star, “Si Therese, napakabata pero she has done so many roles in film and television and has already won several acting awards. Because she is such a good actress, we are always challenged to find something that she would be able to sink her teeth into.”
