• Marco Gallo is the newest artist of Viva Artists Agency (VAA)
• He admitted that he suffered trauma from a circumcision procedure
• He gained popularity after joining Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7
Former Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 housemate Marco Gallo is returning to showbiz for good. Back in July 2018, the Filipino-Italian showbiz newbie announced that he was returning to Italy to resume his studies.
Earlier this year, the actor flew back to the Philippines to continue his acting career.
He is also the newest artist of Viva Artists Agency (VAA) after leaving Star Magic. At his recent contract signing, Marco opened up about a traumatic event during his childhood: the circumcision procedure.
One of the entertainment press asked the actor if he already underwent the procedure. They also asked the same of 18-year-old former Pinoy Big Brother teen housemate Alex Anselmuccio who is also Filipino-Italian.
It was in 2008 when Alex underwent circumcision through the “Libreng Tuliang Bayan” held inside the Pinoy Big Brother’s Eviction Hall.
Responding to the question, Marco said that this it is not really a big issue to talk about.
“I don’t think it’s an issue you want me to say it like because that’s how Filipinos work you know. Really judgemental and stuff,” Marco said.
He then answered that he was medically circumcised in the Philippines when he was eight years old.
“In a medical way, I am. I mean I am tuli. Because I remember it was one of my most traumatic events in my life. I was back here in 2008 and I didn’t know how to speak in Tagalog that time even English. And then that time my Tito said ‘we’re going to the dentist’. ‘Alright let’s go haha!’ I have this pain out here okay let’s go. So we went there and as long as I understood it was a hospital and as long as I understood they’re gonna cut my guy down there.

“I was screaming and they’re were sitting.I t was like five of my Titos holding me and I was tiny. They were like holding all of me and after the operation was done, I got so angry to the doctor like put everything back like how it is. Screaming, I was like I’m gonna sue you,I’m gonna find you, I’m gonna ruin your life with everything,” he narrated while laughing.
As he became older, Marco realized that being circumcised is actually healthy for males. He also hoped that his kids in the future will undergo the same thing too.
“Because I thought it was their idea. I didnt know it was my mom. So like for a week after you know you have to wear palda and stuff and I was like, ‘Mom, am I a girl now?” he recounted.
“I couldn’t understand but it’s actually a good thing. I’m proud of it kasi it’s more healthy .I mean it’s medically proven. It’s actually more healthy for male people. I’m looking for like someday for my kids to do it too,” he said.
“My dad was really against it because in Italian culture they’re really against to do that, like you didn’t have to touch male’s genitals. So hindi dapat talaga. Pero sa Amerika naman na paraan it means naman maganda yun, so bakit hindi?” Marco explained.
Marco gained popularity after joining Pinoy Big Brother 7 where he was tagged as the Pilyo Bello of Italy.
He’s been on TV shows like Wansapataym Presents: Amazing Ving (2017) and Ipaglaban Mo (2017), as well as in the movies Loving in Tandem (2017) and Harry & Patty (2018). He is currently part of the cast of The Killer Bride.
