In an interview, Joshua Garcia clarified that he was the first to approach Alexa Ilacad when he saw some posts on Twitter, linking them as a new real-life couple.
They just laughed it off, thinking that people are quick to label them as a couple.
Joshua said, “Sinabi ko sa kanya, alam mo bang pinagtri-tripan tayo sa Twitter. Sinasabi na tayo? Pero kami pinagtatawanan lang namin, kami nila Janella (Salvador), close lang kami. Ewan ko ba sa mga tao.”

To end the speculations about Alexa and himself, the 22-year-old Kapamilya actor stated that he’s working with Alexa and Janella on ABS-CBN’s The Killer Bride. and a good working relationship helps with their scenes.
“Siyempre nagka-trabaho na kami sa The Good Son , and dito may gusto siya sakin, mas makakatulong siguro kung mas close kami. Parang lahat naman ng cast close namin. Ang hirap naman ng basta ka na lang sasalang na walang interaction dun sa tao. About kay Alexa, wala ‘yon.
Joshua on his love life
After his break-up with Julia Barretto, Joshua decided to focus on his career and to master the art of self-love.
“Ayoko muna mag focus sa love life, kasi sabi ko sa sarili ko, bago ako pumasok sa relationship matuto muna kong mahaling ‘yung sarili ko.”
