- Julia Barretto now has her own YouTube channel with more than 94,000 subscribers
- Fans say she is smart for monetizing the bashers’ energy and effort to stalk and bring her down
- Did she venture into vlogging since she is no longer being offered projects?
Julia Barretto is now a certified vlogger. She happily shared on Instagram her YouTube Channel after almost a year of deciding to join the vlogging world.
Surprisingly, in less than a month, the actress has already earned more than ninety-four thousand subscribers.
“It’s official, I’m going to be on YouTube! I’ve been thinking really long and hard about this for almost a year already,” she wrote.
“Thank you to everyone who encouraged me to finally do this,” she added.
A week after the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, Julia uploaded her first video which was of her preparations for the said event inside a hotel room together with her sister Claudia.
In her video, viewers’ attention was captured when Julia and her sister Claudia were exchanging opinions about guys and people who do not like and value their worth.
“I don’t wanna feel insecure about myself because of someone else,” Claudia said.
Julia agreed with her sister while saying, “never force yourself to a guy or to anybody, actually.”
She even said, save the energy to those who value you.
The actress’s fans were glad about her new venture as a vlogger. They even commented on how smart she is for coming up a YouTube Channel to monetize bashers’.
“Julia is so SMART. She’s monetizing the bashers’ energy and effort to stalk her and bring her down through YouTube views. Ahahahaha. Great job!!!!!” a netizen said.
Some celebrities reportedly ventured into vlogging do so when showbiz offers seem to have dried up. Is this the same for Julia as well?
In August this year, Julia admitted that she was still on a journey of healing and moving on after being the target of accusations of being involved in the breakup of fellow Star Magic artists Bea Alonzo and Gerald Anderson.
Days after the ABS-CBN Ball 2019, a series of posts on Julia’s instagram stories quoting a reflection about being “mischaracterized.”
“How do I deal with being mischaracterized?” the quote from Canadian psychology professor, Dr. Jordan Peterson, read.
“Often, I get angry and want to break something. That’s a private response; mostly my family has to put up with that. Then, I usually calm down and think, ‘Let those who consider themselves my enemies reveal their hands.’
“What I have seen, so far (and I’m not counting on this to continue, necessarily), is that if I’m patient, those who mischaracterize me end up reaping what they have sown.
“So I try to detach myself, watch, and not jump too quickly to negative conclusions,” she posted.
Among the four involved in the Bea-Gerald-Julia issue including Joshua Garcia, the actress’s ex-boyfriend, only Julia has not been in any new project.
Joshua’s The Killer Bride is doing well in ratings with numerous positive comments on how the actor has matured in his new role. The Star Magic artist is now paired up with Janella Salvador, a pairing that had been previously planned for other projects which did not push through.
Gerald Anderson also will take the lead in A Soldier’s Heart together with Vin Abrenica, Elmo Magalona, Jerome Ponce, Yves Flores, Nash Aguas, and Carlo Aquino. They earned loud cheers for their precise military drill and dance performance.
Bea Alonzo has two previously announced projects with ABS-CBN: a series with Richard Gutierrez and Rafael Rosell which they started taping last September 4 and a Star Cinema movie with Gutierrez and Angelica Panganiban.
It was announced earlier this year that Julia and Joshua’s mystery-thriller film Block Z will be put on hold. According to director Mikhail Red, the special effects needed for the film would take some time to finish.
