It was two months ago when the trailer for the zombie apocalypse thriller Block Z, directed by Mikhail Red who also directed Eerie, was released.
Since then, there have been no updates about the project and its release date.
Block Z should’ve been released at the end of August. However, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia confirmed they had gone their separate ways in July. There were reports that Julia’s Between Maybes co-star Gerald Anderson was the cause but this was denied by the two.
The issue died down but another would take its place. This time Julia was reportedly the cause of the breakup of Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. The controversy was so widely spread that it took up headlines for some time.
Haaaay nako pilipinas.

This was supposedly the reason the premiere of Block Z was delayed.
At the recent special screening of iWant’s Abandoned, director Mikhail Red was spotted giving his all out support to director Kip Oebanda on his latest digital horror movie
Director Mikhail even commended the new iWant movie,
“I was really impressed. I know na working with iWant iba yung constraints. I think parang mas konti yung shooting days and yet, naka-deliver siya ng very effective na story, and effective scares, and may production value.”
When asked about the updates on the much-anticipated zombie movie, Block Z, Director Mikhail explained, “Medyo matagal yung post-production, kasi it’s a zombie movie maybe three to four months, it might come out December, or early last year, I’m not yet sure.
“And then I just finish another one, Dead Kids… That one will come out first baka later this year,” he said.
