Four of today’s hottest young stars is assembled to gear up the latest Romantic-Drama film of Viva and Star Cinema, PARA SA HOPELESS ROMANTIC. It is a book adaptation of the best selling novel of the same title, written by Marcelo Santos III. Big 2-in-1 as what they call it because for the very first time, James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine) together with Julia Barretto and Inigo Pascual (JulNigo) will grace the movie to give more kilig to viewers.
JaDine is currently two of the industry’s most exciting box-office tandem as obvious from their successful movies Diary Ng Panget and Talk Back And You’re Dead. Both movies are booked adaptation as well. On the other hand, JulNigo had worked together in Philippines fantasy-drama anthology Wansapanatym: Wish Upon A Lusis last January. According to Julia, it was a nice foundation for their friendship in able for them to create chemistry in this film.
Last April 29, Star Cinema and Viva gathered the bloggers for a pocket conference to know more about the movie and what the characters are all about. Present on the blogcon was Shy Carlos, AJ Muhlach, Julia Barretto, Inigo Pascual, James Reid, Nadine Lustre and the director Andoy Ranay. Para Sa Hopeless Romantic is centered on the theory that each person have a love story which can be written in any way that will please us and that all of us desires for a happy ending. According to Nadine, PSHR is different from her other two movies because the previous movies are romantic-comedy and this one is more on drama. Much realistic as well because according to the writer, the kilig moments in this movie happened in real life.
James and Nadine will lay the role of Nikko and Becca, ex-lovers who have different dispositions about love. Shy and AJ will play as best friends to Nikko and Becca. In an alternative reality that exists only in Becca;s mind, Inigo and Julia play the roles of Ryan and Maria who represent the state of Becca’s heart.
Direk Andoy also shares his challenge in doing the movie. According to him, “May style! May style akong ginawa because this is cinema, uhhm, kelangan yung pagkwento mo ay mag-reach ng mas malaking audience. Kasi may audience na yung libro eh, meron ng fans. Ang challenge for me is kung paano mo pa cya ito ikwe-kwento at kung paano magkakaroon ng interes yung mga hindi pa nakabasa ng libro. At yun ay makikita nyo sa pelikulang ito kapag napanuod na ninyo.”
Will they get the HAPPY ENDING they truly deserve? Watch Para Sa Hopeless Romantic on May 13 in cinemas nationwide.
