- Angelica Panganiban was recently featured in Patty Yap’s YouTube vlog where they played Truth or Dare
- Choosing truth, Panganiban was asked several personal questions with topics touching her past relationships
- Being the celebrity who doesn’t back down to any questions thrown at her, the actress didn’t mince any words when it came to her exes
If there’s one thing that Angelica Panganiban learned from her past relationships, it’s “self-love is the key to be able to secure yourself from getting hurt, and to be happy.”
Fashion stylist Patty Yap recently invited the Kapamilya actress to guest in a YouTube vlog where they played the Truth or Dare Game with the use of a spinning bottle. Throughout the vlog, the friends chose to tell truth while taking shots and answering questions, with topics touching on their past relationships, especially Panganiban.
The 32-year-old actress was asked who among her exes still crosses on her mind which she answered, “Iyong pinakahuli, si John Lloyd (Cruz), kasi siya ‘yung pinakahuli. Mas fresh kasi ‘yung memories mo doon. Pero hindi na siya naaalala na, ‘Oh my god,’ gusto mong mamatay. Naalala mo lang na, ‘Ay, kumain ako dito, kasama ko nga noon si Lloydie.'”
However, the Kapamilya star clarified that she doesn’t think of her exes anymore. It just so happens that some places hold memories you can’t undo.
Panganiban and John Lloyd Cruz had been in a romantic relationship that lasted for three years before their breakup in 2016. The former revealed that their relationship became “toxic,” leading to their break-up. Cruz, who is still on hiatus in showbiz, is now a father to Ellen Adarna’s son named, Elias Modesto.
Aside from Cruz, Panganiban was formerly in a romantic relationship with Derek Ramsay and Carlo Aquino.
Going back to the game, Panganiban was also asked which among her former lovers she considers most sexually attractive.
The actress was seemingly hesitant to answer at first and voiced out that she is no longer attracted to any of them, however, she revealed: “Siyempre, kaya naman ako na-attract kay Derek dahil sa katawan niya… Ma-abs, ganyan. Tatlo lang naman kasi sila, at parang so far, siya lang naman ang may abs sa lahat.”
Derek Ramsay and Panganiban dated for six years before they ended up their relationship “over the phone” in 2012.
As their game went on, their topics started to get serious as they exchanged realizations about love and relationship. Yap even recalled the time she got frustrated and annoyed at Panganiban when the latter received an “offensive” text message from a man but, the actress didn’t take it offensively. Instead, she took the blame and accepted that she was the ‘problem.’
Making a realization, the actress did not mince any words and said, “Grabe, ‘no, ang nagagawa sa ‘yo ng love?
“Kaya dapat na sa right state of mind ka… Kasi may hope na, ‘Hindi, magbabago ‘yan…’ ‘Iyong power of love kaya ‘to.’ Budol ‘yon! Self-love ka na lang maniwala! Self-love na lang ang meron ngayon talaga. Iyong mga hope na ganiyan, ibibigay mo lang ‘yan sa sarili mo!”
The last man Panganiban was romantically linked to was Carlo Aquino, her former boyfriend whom she paired up with for a movie (Exes Baggage, 2018) and a TV series (Play House, 2018-2019).
Their onscreen reunion got fans hopeful that they would get back together for real, too. However, their expectations were dashed when Carlo was photographed on a vacation with another woman.
The actress didn’t conceal how hurt she was at the time. Aquino apologized to her and to their fans, and took the blame for the unexpected ending of their friendship.
Just recently, a fan of Panganiban tweeted her on Twitter requesting her to reunite with Aquino and their known close friends but the actress quickly dashed her follower’s hope by responding, “Nope. Sorry. Spare me. Si Khang at si Josh lang ang tinuturing kong pamilya. Gusto kong maging mabuting tao. Pero ayokong maging bobo.”
Khang and Josh are common friends of Aquino and Panganiban.
In one of her recent interviews, the Kapamilya star also admitted that Aquino “no longer exists” in her life.
As of the moment, the actress is busy enjoying her life and focusing on her happiness sans having a partner.
“Sobrang grateful ng heart ko. Gusto ko sana maramdaman ito ng ibang tao na mag-isa, na hindi mo kailangan ng ibang tao to be happy. Kabuuan talaga ng isang tao ‘yon,” Panganiban stated in Yap’s vlog.
“Ang simple-simple ng happiness na makukuha mo sa mga bagay-bagay, kung liliitan mo lang ang expectations mo, ‘yung source of happiness mo,” she added.
Meanwhile, the Kapamilya star is set to come back to teleseryes as she takes the lead role in the upcoming drama series with a working title, ‘The Faithful Wife.’
