Last Friday, GMA Network announced that Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera backed out from her TV series “The Rich Man’s Daughter” and other international commitments because of her “delicate pregnancy”. She is two (2) months pregnant with her first born to husband Dingdong Dantes. Before the announcement, we all know that Marian already had her pictorial and tapings for the said soap. What will happen now is that the production will redo everything?
Names of other Kapuso stars came out speculating to replace Marian’s character, Jade Tanchingco. They are Heart Evangelista, Lovi Poe and Carla Abellana. But since Heart and Lovi will be doing a project together (another soap opera) and Carla is with Pari ‘Koy, they were eliminated from the list. And according to the report, Rhian Ramos was the chosen one. According to the statement Rhian sent to PEP, “Nagpapasalamat po sa GMA sa tiwalang binigay sa akin na ganapan ang role na JADE sa teleseryeng THE RICH MAN’S DAUGHTER. I look forward to the challenge of portraying the character. My very best wishes and congratulations to Ate Marian Rivera Dantes! I wish her a happy, comfortable, and safe pregnancy.”
