- Nadine Lustre’s performance in Never Not Love You has been earning raves from critics.
Nadine Lustre is on a roll this year as she has collected Best Actress awards from different award-giving bodies.
On Tuesday, June 18, Lustre bagged her third Best Actress trophy for 2019 from the Gawad Urian.
Nadine won for the film Never Not Love You which co-stars real-life boyfriend James Reid. She beat some of the best actresses in the industry which include Ai-Ai delas Alas, Perla Bautista, Anne Curtis, Celeste Legaspi, and others.
Aside from Gawad Urian, Nadine was also named Best Actress at the 2019 FAMAS Awards for the same movie Never Not Love You.
Held last April 28, at the Meralco Theatre, Nadine bested top caliber actresses Judy Ann Santos, Perla Bautista, Angelica Panganiban, Sarah Geronimo, and Anne Curtis among others to get the FAMAS’ top plum.
In her acceptance speech at FAMAS, Nadine shared she almost quit the film because of personal issues during that time. But with the support of her family, fans, and of course James, she finished the film which turned out to be a blessing for her.
Meanwhile, Nadine’s first award for this year was given by the Young Critic’s Circle.
Last March 2019, YCC revealed the recipients of its awards which include Lustre who was given the Best Performance award for Never Not Love You.
Nadine’s co-nominees include Perla Bautista for Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon, Trio performance (Perla Bautista, Menggie Cobarrubias, Dante Rivero) for Kung Paano Hinihintay ang Dapithapon, Celeste Legaspi for Mamang, Ina Raymundo for Kuya Wes, and Marietta Subong, Oda sa Wala.
