Veteran and multi-awarded actor and director Eddie Garcia remained in critical condition on Monday (June 17, 2019, 3:15pm), after a week of under observation at the Makati Medical Center, according to his attending physician, Dr. Regina Macalintal-Canlas.
According to the latest medical bulletin, Garcia is still “dependent on the ventilator to breath and medications to support his blood pressure”.
The doctor also advised to limit the number of his visitors. “We have advised the family to limit Mr. Garcia’s visitors to prevent complications from occurring,” the doctor’s explained.
The actor remained in critical condition after suffering from a neck cervical fracture.

On Friday, June 14, a healing mass was held for Mr. Garcia at Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish in Bel-Air, Makati. The veteran actor’s close friends and relatives were present during the event to offer their prayers for his speedy recovery. Some media personalities also attended the prayer gathering.
Garcia’s family spokesperson Dr. Tony Rebosa has previously said that the family refused to remove Garcia’s life support. They, however, agreed to put Garcia on DNR or do-not-resuscitate status.
