Jennylyn Mercado seems to be the busiest actress of the GMA Network as she has several projects going on all at once.
The actress has been dubbed as the romcom queen for her current hit ‘Love You Two’ with Gabby Concepcion, Shaira Diaz, Solenn Heusaff, and Clint Bondad. The show premiered on April 22, 2019 on the network’s Telebabad line up, replacing ‘TODA One I Love.’
The romcom series has gained positive reviews from viewers and is doing well in the ratings.
It was recently revealed that Mercado and Dingdong Dantes will be playing the lead roles in the Philippine adaptation of the Korean drama ‘Descendants of the Sun’ (DOTS).
Mercado will be playing the Dr. Kang Mo Yeon character while Dantes will portray the Captain Yoo Si Jin role. Shooting begins in June.
Mercado is also being groomed to be the host of ‘Starstruck’ for its seventh season along with Dantes. Cherie Gil, Heart Evangelista, and Jose Manalo will be the judges as seen in the teaser released on GMA Network’s YouTube channel. The show will air on June 15, 2019.
While Mercado enjoys her multiple projects, the situation may be opposite for GMA Network actresses like Carla Abellana, Lovi Poe, and Rhian Ramos as they have not been seen on television lately.
Carla Abellana was last seen in a guest appearance on ‘Sunday Pinasaya’ and her last television series ‘Pamilya Roces’ which premiered on October 8, 2018 and lasted only until December 14, 2018.
Meanwhile, Poe has been noticeably absent on TV after her romantic comedy series ‘The One That Got Away,’ which aired on January 15, 2018 and ended on May 18, 2018. In her recent social media updates, Poe is apparently enjoying a relaxing vacation in the U.S.
The same thing goes for Ramos as she is enjoying a six-month stay in New York City. Along with Poe, she also starred in the series ‘The One That Got Away.’
