‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano’ is commonly known as the longest show that airing on ABS-CBN, but little do people know that there’s a show that’s been on even longer.
‘Angel Wings,’ one of Asia’s highest rating telenovelas, has been airing every Saturday on ABS-CBN since 2014 while ‘FPJ’s Ang Probinsyado’ only premiered on September 28, 2015.
But what could be the possible reason that ‘Angel Wings’ has been airing for such a long time? Originally, ‘Angel Wings’ has 71 episodes with a running time of 60 minutes per episode.
On ABS-CBN, each episode was divided into half, meaning only 30 minutes per episode was being aired at a time. And since Angel Wings is only aired once a week with a projected 142 episodes, it is no wonder it is still airing and is one of the longest shows on ABS-CBN.
