Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. has been officially elected back into the Senate despite having been convicted on charges related to the pork barrel scam. With this in mind, it is no wonder that the senator-elect has been branded a thief by the public.
Revilla’s wife, Bacoor City Mayor Lani Mercado, has broken her silence and given her reaction to people who have been calling her husband a “magnanakaw.”
In an interview with Pep.ph, Lani said she feels really hurt by the bashing that her husband has been getting from the public, especially from people in show business.
Lani believes that people in the industry who had harsh words for her husband aren’t close to him.
She confidently believes that the people who have worked Revilla before haven’t made any bad comments about him.
But not to the point na tawagin mong magnanakaw o masamang tao. I don’t think so, kumbaga, ipapasa-Diyos ko na lang sila.”
Lani asked people to give him a chance to prove himself.
