Dzi Gervacio, Mae Tajima, and Cherry Nunag, for instance, judged the Swag Showdown, while Jema Galanza and a fan blew the competition away in the “Dalagang Pilipina” challenge, which pitted her against Fhem Emnas, Jeanette Panaga, Risa Sato, and Jia Morado.
The PVL stars also got to live out their supermodel dreams with Chalk Magazine glamming them up with the latest “athleisure” fashion. Adding more fun to the event were a special segment featuring MYX VJs Samm and Sunny with finalists of the MYX VJ Search 2019, and a mini-concert featuring Star Music artists Hashtag Rayt and Janella Salvador, along with Kyler from Tarsier Records, while NCAA cheerleading champions Arellano U Chiefsquad opened the program with a scintillating dance number befitting of their title.
The S+A Volleyball Grand Fans Day also saw the welcome of the Pacific Town-Army Lady Troopers and Motolite Team to the fold as two of the five teams trying to dethrone 2018 PVL Reinforced Conference champions Creamline Cool Smashers in the season-opening tournament. The six squads will be parading international playersonce more like Creamline’s Kutikka Kaewpin, PetroGazz’s Janisa Johnson and Wilma Salas, and Pacific Town-Army’s Thai duo of Kannika Tipachot and Sutadta Chuewulim.
