“I want to give GMA the best of Derek Ramsay!”
Derek Ramsay will soon appear on TV screens with his first-ever project with GMA Network entitled ‘The Better Woman,’ which is a drama series he top-bills alongside Andrea Torres.
In an interview with PEP.ph last week, Derek shared what he wants to achieve with GMA Network, his experiences in ABS-CBN and TV5, and what he can and will give to his new home, which is the GMA Network.
He said, “Well, you know, uhm, dito ako nag umpisa. Uhm, they were the ones that gave me that first confidence. ABS gave me, uhm, so much of skill to better myself as an actor. I honed my acting skills sa ABS-CBN with the projects that they gave me, not just for TV. Uhm in the big screen. And TV 5 supported everything that I did. They gave me projects. Uhm they also gave me projects that, uhm, were for who I am. Uhm and I have so much respect for that. And all of that put together is who I am now.”
“I want to give GMA the best of Derek Ramsay,” he also added.

“I gathered all that knowledge, all that experience, and I want to share that with the network that I started with.”
“Medyo challenging tong teleserye na to,” he admitted, pertaining to the upcoming drama series he stars in.
Derek also shared a few hints on what to expect in the upcoming drama series.
He said, “Ang intense talaga ng istorya. Parang hindi ko talaga maisip kung anong gagawin ko if I’m in that position.”

Aside from this, the Kapuso actor also talked about his girlfriend for six years Joanne Villablanca and what he did while he was away from showbiz. He even shared that his family really pushed him to get back to acting and sign with GMA.
When asked if he is sure that Joanne is ‘the one’ he answered confidently, “Yah. There’s nothing other than that, that I can think of.”
