Benigno Perez, also known as “Ion” or “Kuya Escort” of the noon time show ‘It’s Showtime,’ is the talk of town in showbiz for some controversial issues. He was the replacement of Greg Hawkins as Kuya Escort in the segment ‘Ms. Q and A InterTALAKtik 2019.’ Aside from his good looks and irresistible charm, Ion easily caught the hearts of the Madlang People because of his humor and dance moves. Ion is already on his sixth months with ‘It’s Showtime’ this month. He just finished a concert in Guam with Vice Ganda and Jackque Gonzaga.
Just recently, someone posted on social media about the revelation of the relationship of Ion to Vice Ganda during a ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ taping session. Bea Alonzo allegedly asked Ion what the real score between him and Vice was. At that moment, Ion confessed his true relationship with Vice Ganda by saying that once you love someone you would proudly admit who that person is.
There was also a rumor that Ion is running away from a gay friend because he has debts worth one hundred thousand pesos. This made some netizens worried about their idol Vice Ganda, since he’s being rumored to be his new boyfriend. Just last Sunday on ‘GGV,’ Vice admitted that he’s in a relationship for four months now.
Ion Perez was born on November 27 1990 and lives in Concepcion, Tarlac, Pampanga and has 11 siblings. The salary of his parents was just enough for their daily expenses, so he decided to help them by joining male pageants and last year was crowned as Mr. Universe Tourism.
