Angelica Panganiban, single, 33, and one of the veteran actresses of the local showbiz industry has no more hopes with ex-BF, Carlo Aquino. The Kapamilya actress is blessed with the success of her daytime series, with Zanjoe Marudo and Maxene Magalona, ‘Playhouse,’ that will end on March 22.
During the finale press conference last March 12, the actress was asked about her love life status with Carlo Aquino. The romance team of Angelica and Carlo started in 1999, coined as CarGel, and officially formed when ‘G-mik’ went live on television.
CarGel fans resurrected when the two stars teamed-up in the romance-dram film last year, ‘Exes Baggage.’ This continued when Carlo appeared and was cast in the daytime series, ‘Playhouse.’
But what happened? She was asked in the press conference if she was still willing to work with Carlo?
“Hindi na muna siguro,” was the frank answer from Angelica. “Siguro panahon makakapagsabi. Kung buhay pa siguro ako nun. Pagtanda namin, mga Tita Glo, ganun.”
Is she and Carlo still friends?
“No,” she answered
Do they have communication? She shook her head no.
When did their communication stop?
“Matagal na rin. Basta matagal na rin,” she said
As the lead cast in the daytime series ‘Playhouse’ with Carlo being a part of it, how do they manage this?
“Civil,” she promptly said.
Did Angelica have some regrets about this?
“Yun naman yun, e. Yun naman yung nararamdaman ko, disappointed,” said Angelica.
“Yun ang sabi niya—umasa daw ako. So…” she added.
Did Carlo make her hope that they will be okay as lovers?
“Sa lahat naman ng sinabi niya, pinakita niya, yun naman ang hinihintay ko. Sabi niya, gusto niyang maging maayos siya. Baka inaayos niya ang sarili niya ngayon,” she shared.
