Recently, all other Pinoy films that were previously released didn’t gain box office success. It even became an issue where the Filipino film industry was facing an ‘alarming’ situation’ after going through a series of released movies that flopped in the cinemas over its week of screening; where it was not able to recoup and/or earn its targeted revenue.
Different personalities, filmmakers, and artists expressed their concern online by calling the attention of the netizens and the government, questioning what went wrong with the films and asking for their support.
Knowing that LizQuens movie will open during these times of ‘downfall’ was something to worry about. But this didn’t let the team be bothered and still continued on marketing the film.
On February 10, Sunday, they guested in the comedy talk show ‘Gandang Gabi Vice’ for the main purpose of promoting their upcoming film. The two were put to a lie detector as they were to answer Vice’s questions. When asked about their relationship status, both of them admittedly said that they already are together as a couple for more than two years now. This confession made netizens exhilarating with joy; being happy for the honesty of the couple.
Revealing their status was totally a plus for it did make a great impact in the promotion of their film, making it a success.
The film follows the love story of Christine and Raf, ex-college sweethearts who meet again after five long years during a turning point in their lives. The questions of ‘what if?’ puts them on the road to renew their romance, but circumstances prohibit both as the two of them are involved with someone else.
