The beauty queen-actress Megan Young is grateful for singing and renewing her contract with the GMA-Network last February 8, 2019.
Supporters and executives, including the network chairman and chief executive officer Atty. Felipe L. Gonzon, vice president and chief financial officer Felipe S. Yalong, senior vice president for group entertainment Lilybeth G. Rasonable, GMA SAVP for Alternative Productions and Entertainment TV Gigi Santiago-Lara and Arnold Vegafria, Megan’s manager, were present during the occasion.
The late 20’s actress made her showbiz debut at the age of 14 by joining Star Struck’s Season 2.
“Dito ako nagsimula so it’s nice to be here again with the family,” said Megan, who’s also looking forward to a different show this year after the success of her afternoon drama series “The Step Daughters.”
She said, “Last, year, nagging busy talaga kami sa “The Stepdaughters,” so I’m very thankful that GMA gave us a show na we could really show our talents or improved our talents.”
“So this year, I’m looking forward to do something different kasi last year intense na labanan, intense na afternoon soap, so I don’t mind doing another afternoon series kasi nag-enjoy ako. But I’m also looking forward to do hosting jobs this year so sana it’s in their plans to have a hosting show. I’m game for that and I am game for whatever they have for me,” she noted.
Megan also shared that it’s her dream to star in a romantic comedy because of her love for Koreanovelas.
“Alam mo gusto ko talaga ‘yung mga rom-com, as in hilig ko talaga ‘yung mga Koreanovelas. That’s kinda my dream. I know other people aspire for heavy roles, ‘yung mga award-winning, ako, I love the lightness and endearing moments of Koreanovelas. I love happy stories, I haven’t done anything like that,” Megan ended.
She still hopes to have many years with the GMA Network Family and do things she loves in a way that she can express as well as showcase the best in her.
