“Wala naman po sa akin yun kasi we’re not after the competition. Parang gusto namin, siyempre, yung GMA Telebabad, hindi lang naman siya per show, e. Parang isang kabuuan yung tinitignan. Pag maganda yung first slot, second slot, third slot, maganda yung primetime.”
“So kami, gusto lang namin, maging part kami noon at mapaganda yung line-up kung saan man kami ilagay either first, second or third, na deserve namin na mapapunta doon, no matter kung anong slot.”
Kara Mia is expected to air sometime in February 2019.
Other actors included in the show are Jak Roberto, Paul Salas, Carmina Villarroel, John Estrada, Mike Tan, Alicia Alonzo, and Gina Pareno. The new series is directed by Dominic Zapata, whose recent projects include Alyas Robin Hood and Victor Magtanggol.
Barbie’s two recent projects, Meant To Be (2017) and Inday Will Always Love You (2018) were placed in the third slot of GMA Telebabad and were all top-raters, even earning extensions from six weeks to six months.
Kara Mia is the 12th teleserye and the 6th prime-time series of Barbie with the GMA Network.
This time, she shares top billing with Mika dela Cruz,. They play twin sisters who share the same body, as they have a condition called Disprosopus or craniofacial duplication.
