- Maine Mendoza isn’t happy about her fans accusing the Atayde siblings of using her
- The Kapuso comedienne yesterday told a fan to respect Ria Atayde, the sister of Mendoza’s rumored boyfriend Arjo Atayde, after the fan accused Ria of using Mendoza to get ahead in her showbiz career.
A Netizen posted on twitter about his sentiments toward Ria and Arjo Atayde whom he felt were just Maine Mendoza‘s name to clinch projects, regardless of their own talents and image on the Kapamilya Network.

Immediately, Mendoza replied on the tweet:
“I would appreciate if you’ll show some respect not just to our family but to theirs as well.
“Just stop this nonsense and let us all do better instead. They get projects because of their talent, not because of any other reasons. Once and for all let’s give credit to whom its due.”

While another Netizen showed her support to the the Atayde siblings and wrote:
Sorry but ever since I've always admired the acting prowess of Arjo and Ria @RiaAtayde and Sylvia. It's not fair to say they're using others to make a career.
