- This is set to be pitted against Gandang Gabi Vice.
- Super Tekla pointed out that he was nervous on going against his own friend.
Super Tekla signed a five-year contract with GMA Network. He now has a new primetime show on television. The 47-year-old comedian remained grateful of the Network for giving him the opportunity.
He shared this in an interview with PEP.ph.

The Boobay And Tekla Show.
His show with Boobay, The Boobay And Tekla Show (TBATS), was used to be an online show which will start to air on prime time every Sunday starting January 27.
“Yung pagbibigyan ka ng timeslot, sobrang grabe yun. Alam kong challenge, siyempre kailangan mag-exert ng effort. Hindi pwedeng… kailangan yung expectations sa’yo ng network, ng management dapat anuhin [ipakita] mo yun, h. Kasi sila ang nakakita nun [potential], eh. Then, the people behind that. So, kailangan mo rin suklian ng effort.”

Super Tekla vowed to enhance and improve His Comedy.
He promised to work harder because there are a lot of artists who don’t have work and could probably replace him anytime if he tends to lax.
“Siyempre, hindi ka pwede pa-petiks petiks lang, kailangang work. Kasi pambihirang pagkakataon ‘to, kumbaga yung lightning nag-strike na ‘yan, eh. Kasi minsan lang mag-strike ‘yan, hindi mo na alam kung saan ulit mag-strike yan.”

TBATS versus GGV.
The Boobay And Tekla Show is pitted against Vice Ganda‘s Gandang Gabi Vice. The Kapuso comedian, however, pointed out that they didn’t mean to go against the Kapamilya show.
“A, wala po kaming intensiyon na babanggain. Wala rin pong [kakalabanin]… It happens [magkatapat], siguro management decision, wala po sa amin yung ganun.”
He shared that he and Vice are friends.
“Me and Vice, Vice is a good friend of mine, kasi nagkakasama kasi sa isang company before, pareho kami ng circle of work, halos pareho ng background. Wala kaming intensiyon na banggain. Ano lang yung format lang. Yung tao naman ang mamimili. Trabaho lang dyusko, alam naman ni Meme [Vice] ‘yan… Sino bang hindi kakabahan?”
