This immediately sparked the love Mario-Erich tandem once again and gave the fans hope.
Mario won the hearts of Filipinos fans via the Thai movie Crazy Little Thing Called Love.
With an overwhelming demand in the Philippines, a local clothing brand, Penshoppe, invited him to be the brand endorser. Thus, resulting in Maurer making a movie in the country under a Philippine production via Star Cinema with Rory B. Quintos as director.
In the said film, the Erich Gonzales-Mario Maurer loveteam was nominated at “ASAP Pop Viewers’ Choice Awards” in 2013 as “Pop Screen Kiss” and “Pop Love Team”.
The two remained friends since 2012.
