Now, we get to meet the other side of Arci Munoz as she releases her own hugot cook book entitled “Cheat Days” under ABS-CBN Publishing.
During her successful meet and greet plus book signing event at National Bookstore in TriNoma last October 13, 2018, Arci revealed her passion for food. In her book, she shared some pretty interesting fun facts about her.
Who knew that she loves to talk while cooking, very much like hosting a culinary show? And that she listens to rock n roll or hiphop while cooking? Who would have guessed that garlic powder is her favorite ingredient, and that spicy fried chicken and polvoron are her weaknesses?
There’s a lot of hugot books now in the market, but what sets this book apart from the others is that it’s not only a hugot book, it’s also a cook book. “Why this cookbook?
From Case Munoz, I am sharing with you all these recipes that I’ve tried and tested,” shared the rockstar actress. The book also intends to inspire and cheer those who are single and heartbroken with puns on love and cooking. It also contains Arci’s favorite dishes as well as her tips on moving on.
Unlike most of us who prefer to eat, sleep or shop to help heal their broken hearts, Arci had a different approach.
“I want this cookbook to help others move on, like how cooking helped me. This book is also what I call a love letter to my old self,” Arci explained.
“Enough of the fast food cheat meals. For huge heartbreaks, I promise you, just cook and you’ll feel better.”
In this hugot cook book, the Kapamilya actress shared her signature dishes like monggo with chorizo, lemon grass tilapia and beer can chicken. She also revealed her secrets in cooking pasta with her penne arrabiata recipe, appetizers such as Cajun shrimp tacos, and desserts such as mango sorbet. But what we are excited to try: the white wine tahong!
