The gorgeous children of celebrity couple Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi officially joined show business by signing up with the Kapuso network July this year.
Cassy and Mavy Legaspi explained why GMA-7 was their first choice.
Cassy said, “Because GMA was part of our discussion din. I think GMA is homey.”
Mavy explained, “Like what I said when we had our contract signing, this is home na. Growing up, I was always here na. After school I go here and watch my mom.
“So, who wouldn’t want to be at home, right? It always feels great to come back home and here we are!”
Cassy added, “Technically, we grew up here because we always visit sets.”
Mavy further elaborated, “It wasn’t like a hard decision, honestly. It was like, GMA was the one who signed us, yes!”
The Legaspi twins recalled the moments when they visited their parents on the “Mulawin” and “Darna” sets.
Cassy said, “Sobrang natakot ako because his (Zoren’s) eyes were yellow tapos nabigla ako sa set na parang ang daming may feather feather!
“And then next naman, my mom’s set sa Darna, I think she was the kontrabida na naka-volcano. Tinatanong ko, bakit may volcano diyan? I was always amazed by the set of GMA, that’s one of the memories I remember.”
The siblings also recently appeared as guests in “Pepito Manaloto” but admit that they are not fully prepared to accept acting projects yet. “Let’s take it slowly,” Cassy said.
Cassy and Mavy Legaspi will form part of GMA’s upcoming musical variety show “Studio 7” which will pilot on October 14.
GMA has many projects lined up for Cassy and Mavy this year but they cannot reveal them yet.
