Dingdong Dantes is just one of the celebrities rumored to run in the 2019 elections according to the nationwide survey conducted by Pulse Asia Research, Inc.
Aside from Dingdong, actors such as Lito Lapid and Robin Padilla are also part of the list.
Dingdong’s wife, Marian Rivera, explained, “Siguro ang pangit kasi kung sa akin nanggagaling na, ‘O, tatakbo yung asawa ko, a.’ ‘O ganitong posisyon siya.’
“Siguro ibigay natin sa kanya iyan, kung tatakbo siya. Kung hindi siya tatakbo, nasa sa kanya iyan.
“Kasi wala pa rin kaming usap na one-on-one o heart-to-heart kasi very busy din siya sa mga pinupuntahan niya na Yes Pinoy Foundation niya.
“So, hayaan natin, ibigay natin sa asawa ko na siya mismo ilatag sa inyo kung tatakbo ba siya o hindi ba siya tatakbo.
“Tatakbo ba siya? Anong posisyon? Siguro ibibigay ko iyan at irerespeto ko yung asawa ko na siya ang magsabi sa inyo.”
Marian is open to the idea and will give her all-out support if Dingdong wants to enter politics, but they have to talk about it first.
“Magha-heart-to-heart talk muna kami kasi hindi ko pa talaga alam, e. Wala talaga akong idea kung nasaan yung puso niya at isip niya sa mga bagay na ganyan,” she said.
