- Niño met Alden Richards who had not just one, but three surprises for him.
- Alden’s ultimate and lasting gift is to sponsor Niño’s college expenses.
Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho recently featured “Niño” – the disabled child with no hands but can still work using his arms and feet to do household chores and can even handle heavy-duty work such as carpentry.
Niño lives in Kabankalan City, Negros Oriental and was born with the physical disability, but that didn’t stop him from going to school. His dream is to become an engineer.
His classmates understand his condition and are very supportive. They even provided a special set of table and chair in their classroom to support Niño’s disability.
The child said that he is a big fan of Victor Magtanggol. And because of that, KMJS fetched Niño from Dumaguete to Manila to visit the set of his favorite TV series. There he personally met his idol, Alden Richards.
Niño’s first reaction to Alden was, “Mabait at saka pogi!” But, meeting Alden was not the only gift he received.
Alden gave him a special chair that he can use at home and in school. On top of that, the young actor promised that he will answer Niño’s college expenses.
“Ako na ang bahala,” says Alden. “Sana maraming ma-inspire sa kanya. Hindi madali para sa kanya pero kaya naman, kaya mag-aral kang mabuti, Niño. Nandito na si Kuya Alden hanggang makatapos ka ng college.”
Alden then handed the child a replica hammer of Victor Magtanggol as a souvenir.
