It is now confirmed that Nadine Lustre and James Reid will have a new movie again titled “Pedro Penduko.”
According to the producer Paul Alexel Basinilio, James Reid will be Pedro Penduko and Nadine Lustre is his Maria Makiling. Pedro Penduko is based on a classic Filipino comic while Maria Makiling is a famous myth in the Philippines.
The producer described Nadine’s role as “someone who can summon elemental spirits from the earth and is close to Mother Nature.”
Moreover, he also stated that Maria Makiling’s appearance in the Pedro Penduko movie is just an introduction to the upcoming Maria Makiling film in 2020.
The director Treb Monteras II says that Maria Makiling’s role is relatable to real life. She will not act as a goddess, but just an ordinary person who even has a Facebook and Twitter account.
