- GMA is expecting to release one million units per year
GMA’s digital transmission device that was first announced in 2016 is finally becoming to take shape as the GMA Chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon confirmed that the device will commercially roll out next month.
The network first opened the digital receiver prototype last October 2016. Currently, the device is being manufactured in China.
Gonzon promised that the digital transmitter is unique and is expecting to release at least a million units per year. The device is said to have full-packed features including voice command, gestures, and can even record.
GMA is confident that the product will be able to compete in the market.
“Wala kaming mga dealers. So, we have to find a way na hindi tayo mahuhuli ‘pag ni-launch na ‘yan and I can assure you, napakalapit na. Magpipirmahan nalang,” Gonzon said. GMA is in partnership with a telecommunication company for this project but did not disclose the name of the said company.
“Biglaan ‘yan. Mas madali kaysa dadahan-dahanin mo. Kumbaga sa ulan, buhos,” he added in regards to the commercial roll out next month.
