- Mark Reyes recently spoke up about The Cure as the next ammo against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
- He also shared that he is already prepared for taking on any timeslot.
- The Cure also stars Jennylyn Mercado, Tom Rodriguez, Mark Herras and LJ Reyes among others.
The Cure director Mark Reyes revealed that The Walking Dead is a lot different from the GMA Network series. Mark confidently stated that he is ready to reside on whatever timeslot will be given to the series when it airs its pilot episode on April 30, Monday. The Cure may replace Ruru Madrid’s Sherlock Jr. which goes against with ABS-CBN long-running show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. However, they may also replace Bianca Umali’s Kambal Karibal which goes against ABS-CBN epicserye Bagani.
In an interview with PEP.ph during the media conference of The Cure, Mark shared that he still doesn’t know which timeslot they will be placed in.
“We are floating, I didn’t know where we will be placed. I know it’s going to be prime-time so I don’t know where… I think we’re gonna be in the early slot, I don’t think we will be in the third slot. Yung mga ganitong show, usually first o second. Di ko pa alam kung anong slot but I’m ready for either the Probinsyano or the Bagani, bring it on!”
Mark said that he feels pressured on competing against FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. However, he added that their team will be the same production crew that beat the Kapamilya crime series with the Kapuso epicserye Encantadia.
“Oh yeah, oh yeah. But it’s the same team that beat them, it’s the same team behind Encantadia, so I’m ready for the fight. I’m kidding. But yeah, they need competition, di ba?”
During his speech, Mark remarked on being pitted against the crime-drama series.
“Garantisado po na mapupusuan ito ng mga Manilenyo hanggang mga Probinsyano!”
