Due to the recent controversy, director Antoinette Jadaone assured that she still has a good relationship with fellow director Cathy Garcia-Molina. Direk Cathy also went under hot water when she refused to work with real-life couple James Reid and Nadine Lustre.
Direk Antoinette posted in her blog about delayed shoots became the reason behind Direk Cathy’s refusal.
During an interview for a Since I Found You press conference, Direk Antoinette assured that all’s well.
“Okey naman po. Walang masamang tinapay.”
Direk Antoinette also clarified that she took no offense that Direk Cathy named her in a controversial exchange with JaDine fans.
“Hindi naman. Wala tayong magagawa, e. As long as personally okey kayo, yun ang mas importante.”
It all started when Direk Cathy reacted to a JaDine fan asking her to work with James and Nadine before she retires in 2019. However, Direk Cathy cited what she heard from JaDine’s past directors Dan Villegas and Antoinette. She further added that she won’t judge a person based on an opinion she read on social media.
One netizen, @Pumpkin021116, asked her to feature JaDine for a new film.
“Sana po direk @cgm1326 sa huling movie mo sana Jadine ang kunin nyo, magaling po @ napakaprofessional. Natapos mo na ang KN, LQ, sana JC n nman.”
Direk Cathy replied to the said netizens and referred her response to JaDine’s past directors.
“Iha talaga ba? Iba kasi Ang naririnig ko galing mismo k direk Dan V at direk Tonet. Sorry 
“
Direk Antoinette also revealed that she talked with Direk Cathy through Direk Dan.
“Through Dan. Kasi mas close siya kay Dan, e. Si Direk Cathy, mentor siya ni Dan.”
Direk Antoinette continued that she was aware when Direk Cathy’s tweet blew out of proportion. The latter director’s tweets also received many negative feedback from social media.
“Yung social media talaga, nakakabaliw siya. Nakakaloka. Parang, my god! Parang nung medyo bagets-bagets pa ako, sobrang rawr!”
