Basketball player Ricci Rivero finally cleared rumors circulating online that he is using illegal drugs. The 19-year old DLSU rising star shared the drug test result on his social media account.
“Its been a while, once and for all allow me to open my heart to answer your questions. May God bless us all. Thank You po,” Ricci wrote in his tweet, attaching a copy of the test results that yielded negative of cocaine, amphetamine and other illegal drugs.
“To everyone who judged me and are doubting me, you can verify the authenticity of this [drug test result] to your dismay. For the record, I never took drugs and will never try it,” he added.
Ricci and his brother Prince and teammate Brent Paraiso are on leave from the team, raising speculations they are suspended for illegal drug use.
However, they strongly denied the issue and clarified that there is another reason behind the suspension.
