According to an article from PEP.ph, Sharon Cuneta and Gabby Concepcion went on a meeting with Star Cinema head, Malou Santos.
The said meeting turned out to be about their much-anticipated reunion film. This will be their first film together after twenty-six years. Tayong Dalawa became their last film back in 1992.
Star Cinemas has been planning the reunion movie for Sharon and Gabby since 2012. However, they had to shelve it due to Gabby’s busy schedule. In an official statement from Therese Ramos, Gabby’s agent, he had always wanted to do a movie with former love team and onscreen partner, Sharon.
Sharon and Gabby recently made headlines when they appeared in a McDonald’s TV commercial together titled, Kamusta Ka?
In a tweet, the Megastar only shared an article from Philippine Star. This may or may not be the major project she wrote about working before, during and after said television shows.
Ricky Lo wrote the said article and titled it, “Albee’s dream movie is finally coming true.”
Rep. Albee Benitez will start filming his dream movie which Hollywood film, Ocean’s Eleven, had inspired. It will be about childhood friends who would rob a bank to help the poor.
He also had it titled tentatively, Squad Goals which will be under the direction of Dondon Santos. The film will star Sharon, Gabby, Richard Gomez, Albert Martinez, William Martinez, Aga Muhlach and Piolo Pascual among others.
