- Recently Rappler’s reporter Pia Rana was banned on Malacañang Palace.
- Presidential Communications Operations Office Asec. Mocha Uson has a proposal to Rappler’s CEO Maria Ressa.
“Gaka” is a jargon word for media community which refers to reporters who crashed an event without an invitation. Recently, Rappler’s reporter Pia Ranada made a scene in Malacañang Palace where she insisted to cover an event of President Rodrigo Duterte.
With the incident, the said reporter was already banned on the premises of the palace.
According to Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque, the lady reporter was not allowed on Malacañang due to “fake news” accusations.
However, Harry clarified that the lady reporter is still allowed to cover events inside the Palace as long as PCOO Ase. Mocha Uson gives the permission to do so.
In one of Mocha’s interview, she called out the attention of Rappler’s CEO Maria Ressa, “Kung nanonood si Maria Ressa, ay bukas po ang opisina ng social media ng PCOO [Presidential Communications Operations Office]. Mag-submit lang po sila ng requirements nila, at kung makapasa ay bibigyan natin ng accreditation, social media accreditation.”
It sounds that Mocha razzing Maria Ressa. Whats your thoughts!
