Despite the success of her film “Kita Kita,” new box-office director Sigrid Andrea Bernardo said that she is not pressured to her new movie “Mr. and Mrs. Cruz” starring JC Santos and Ryza Cenon.
In an interview with PUSH.com, she said that lesser expectations could help the viewers appreciate the film.
“Una sa lahat, nung ginawa ko naman yung Kita Kita, hindi ako nag-i-expect, wala akong expectations,” she said.
“And I think, yung mga tao wala ring expectations nung pinanood nila yung Kita Kita. So mas maganda na wala rin kayong expectations dito, pero matutuwa kayo pag pinanood n’yo ang pelikula,” she added.
According to Sigrid, JC and Ryza have a natural chemistry on screen and she said that the love scene also went well.
“Siyempre sa una, medyo off pa talaga, first time nila together, eh. And I’m really happy na sobrang winork nila yung chemistry nila. Nagdududa na nga ako, eh… loko lang,” she said.
On the other hand, Sigrid shared her message to indie directors who want to shift in doing mainstream movies in the future.
“So yon, pa rin, dapat you stick to your ano, what you want. And very important, I think, lalo na ngayon na pumapasok ako sa mainstream, important yung personal happiness mo, eh.
