Pia Wurtzbach revealed she made the first move on boyfriend, Filipino-Swiss car racer, Marlon Stockinger. The Miss Universe 2015 made the revelation in a recent makeup tutorial with Filipino-American beauty expert and YouTuber, PatrickStarrr.
The said video has been uploaded last December 19, 2017.
She opened up how she always find people on Instagram just like how she found Patrick.
“I found my boyfriend on Instagram.”
Reports suggest that Pia and Marlon already knew each other for some time because of their mutual friends. But in the video, Pia admitted that she actually stalked Marlon on social media. Pia also admitted that she started liking his photos.
“I just started liking a few pictures first, just to kinda knock on the door, like let him know, ‘I’m here.’ This is while I was Miss Universe. I’ve always had a crush on this guy.”
Pia also admitted that she kept losing Miss Philippines and Marlo might never notice her.
“So I had a crush on him, like, few years ago. But at that time, I kept on losing at Miss Philippines, and I was thinking, ‘He’s never gonna notice me.’”
After winning the Miss Universe pageant, she suddenly thought of Marlon.
“After I won, for some reason I was on Instagram, and I was like, ‘I wonder where Marlon is… whatever happened to him?’ and I looked for him on Instagram and I saw that he was single.”
Pia continued the story with her following Marlon.
“And then I followed him and liked a few pictures. And he was online at the same time.”
However, Marlon didn’t even follow Pia at that time and didn’t know who she was.
“He didn’t even know who I was, which is good, which is good… actually. He didn’t know.”
Although Marlon did know that the Philippines won the Miss Universe crown, he didn’t know that it turned out to be his future girlfriend. Around September 2016, Pia posted a photo with Marlon on Instagram while in New York.
Then, in November, Marlon finally confirmed that he and Pia started seeing each other. They only became an official couple in January 2017.
