The “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” judge shared her sufferings from her anxiety.
On the October 30 episode of the noon time show “It’s Showtime,” singer-TV host K Brosas opened up her chronic anxiety disorder. The 42-year old comedienne admitted it after she noticed that the contestant of “Tawag Ng Tanghalan” seem to had a panic attack.
“Klee, kalma lang,” K said to the contender from Mindanao.
“Kasi, I don’t know kung… epilepsy ang iyong sakit, di ba, am I right?
Alam ko what you are going through,” she revealed.
After two days, on her YouTube Channel “Dear Tehhh”, K shared her trail through her sufferings from chronic anxiety disorder. According to her, she was diagnosed 12 years ago.
“Pero again, pag tsini-check ako physically, I’m healthy, walang problema.
K also recalled her anxiety attack where they discovered the cause of her disorder.
“So, yung doktor siguro nakaisip na, ‘Anong nangyayari dito? Suki na ito dito. Pero anong nangyayari?’ So, may pinainom sa ‘king gamot. Yun pala ay pampakalma o downers. Doon lahat nawala ang sintomas ko. Sabi sa akin, ‘I think you need to see a psychiatrist.’
After going to a Psychiatrist, K was diagnosed with chronic anxiety disorder.
According to www.helpguide.org, “Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD)” is a common anxiety disorder that involves chronic worrying, nervousness, and tension.
“Unlike a phobia, where your fear is connected to a specific thing or situation, the anxiety of generalized anxiety disorder is diffused—a general feeling of dread or unease that colors your whole life. This anxiety is less intense than a panic attack, but much longer lasting, making normal life difficult and relaxation impossible.”
