The highly-anticipated series is set for a primetime debut soon.
Kapuso headwriter Suzette Doctolero has taken to social media to address the unauthorized leaking of materials from the highly anticipated GMA Network series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.
The flagship fantasy show, a continuation of the beloved Encantadia franchise, has been the subject of rampant speculation following the spread of leaked clips allegedly taken from its set.
Doctolero’s attention was drawn to the issue after netizens pointed out the proliferation of unauthorized videos circulating online, particularly on platforms like TikTok.
In a post on X, she called out those responsible, stating, “Hello. Pa tag po ako sa mga nagle leak ng enca materials. Salamat,” urging her followers to identify accounts sharing the leaked Sang’gre content.
Prior to this, Doctolero had attempted to downplay the spoilers, tweeting, “Tigilan muna ang kakahula sa mga lumalabas na spoilers at leaked videos. Lalo at hindi pa alam ang context at kwento. Good morning!” However, the continued spread of the materials appears to have prompted her to take a firmer stance.
While the source of the leaks remains unclear, one netizen suggested that the culprit could be someone within the production team, stating, “isa-isahin ninyo ang mga taong nakatrabaho ninyo sa #Sanggre. malamang nasa paligid lang ninyo ang nag-leak ng videos. sino ang may access sa videos kungdi mga taong malapit sa inyo?”
Doctolero responded, “Tingin ko rin,” indicating she may share the suspicion that the leaks originated from someone close to the project.
Another user reported that TikTok is a primary platform for the leaked content, noting, “Maraming po sa TikTok.. Hinde lng Po sa enca dapat Po lahat ng upcoming project ng Kapuso..” This suggests that the issue may extend beyond Sang’gre to other GMA projects.
Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre is set to be GMA Network’s biggest offering of 2025, building on the legacy of the Encantadia franchise, which began in 2005 and saw a successful reboot in 2016. The series, directed by Rico Gutierrez and Enzo Williams, follows a new generation of Sang’gres, with Bianca Umali leading as Terra, the lost daughter of Sang’gre Danaya and keeper of the Earth Gem. Faith Da Silva plays Flamarra, daughter of Sang’gre Pirena and keeper of the Fire Gem. Angel Guardian portrays Deia, keeper of the Air Gem, while Kelvin Miranda stars as Adamus, son of Sang’gre Alena and keeper of the Water Gem. The original Sang’gres—Pirena (Glaiza De Castro), Amihan (Kylie Padilla), Alena (Gabbi Garcia), and Danaya (Sanya Lopez)—are also confirmed to return, expanding the universe with new characters and storylines.
As anticipation for the series grows, Doctolero’s response signals GMA Network’s commitment to protecting the integrity of Sang’gre’s production. Fans eagerly await further updates on the show, slated to premiere later this year on GMA’s Prime lineup.
