Sparkle star Michael Sager, a housemate in the Kapuso-Kapamilya PBB Celebrity Collab Edition, recently opened up about his audition journey for the iconic reality show.

The Kapuso artist expressed immense gratitude for landing a spot in the Big Brother house, despite fierce competition from his home network.
“I’m so grateful na pinapasok pa ako rito. Dude, sa amin, almost everybody [from Sparkle ang nag-audition]. We’re so many artists,” Sager shared, hinting at the massive turnout of nearly 300 Kapuso talents vying for a chance.
According to ABS-CBN Television and Star Magic head, Director Laurenti Dyogi, GMA Network carefully selected which of their artists would audition for the collaborative season.
Sager praised the warm and inclusive environment at ABS-CBN, dispelling any notions of network rivalry.
“For me, grabe ‘yung ABS-CBN. They’re so accommodating. Like, wala ‘yung treatment na, ‘Ay, Kapuso ‘to! Hindi ko ‘to i-assist!’” he said, noting the kindness extended by the Kapamilya staff.
“Grabe. Sa guards, makeup artists, stylists, lahat sikat. Tuwang-tuwa ako. Sabi ko, ‘Wow!’”
Fellow housemate Ralph de Leon echoed Sager’s sentiments, saying, “That’s the culture of ABS-CBN.”
Despite having nominated for eviction twice (which he both hurdled) Sager has been evidently enjoying his time in the house and aiming to stay until the Big Night. He extended an invitation to Kapamilya stars to visit GMA in the future.
“That’s why after this, I hope you guys visit GMA. We’ll show you around,” he said enthusiastically, even offering to be their tour guide.
Sager’s gratitude and excitement highlight the spirit of unity in this historic Kapuso-Kapamilya collaboration, proving that talent and camaraderie shine brighter than network divides.
