Breakup rumors continue to swirl around celebrity couple Kyline Alcantara and Kobe Paras after netizens noticed that both stars have unfollowed each other on Instagram — a move that fans see as a major hint of trouble in paradise.
As of Tuesday morning, April 22, Kobe is no longer in Kyline’s following list. This comes just a day after Kyline reportedly unfollowed Kobe first, prompting speculations that the two may have quietly ended their relationship.
Adding fuel to the rumors, Kobe posted a selfie on Instagram Stories aboard a boat with ‘Life Is Good’ by Future and Drake playing in the background. Meanwhile, Kyline uploaded a TikTok video of herself dancing to Jennie’s ‘Damn Right,’ with the caption, “Damn right, I did that.”
The silence from both camps has left fans piecing together clues, especially after several couple photos were also taken down from their social media pages.
Just last November 2024, Kobe confirmed in a Cosmopolitan Philippines interview that he and Kyline were dating. By December, the two had already met each other’s families, even celebrating Christmas together in Camarines Sur.
However, in recent weeks, things seemed to take a different turn. A viral post from a content creator on April 15 questioned Kobe’s supposed “party lifestyle,” sharing photos of him at a club in Bali with friends and a mystery woman. This prompted backlash and led Kobe’s older brother, Andre Paras, to come to his defense.
Andre dismissed the criticisms, stating that Kobe was simply enjoying a night out with friends and shouldn’t be judged for it. He also clarified that the women in the viral photos were the girlfriends of Kobe’s friends.
“If you really cared about ‘KyBe’ (Kyline and Kobe), you wouldn’t be doing this,” Andre wrote in response, accusing the content creator of stirring drama for views.
Despite these public defenses, neither Kobe nor Kyline has directly addressed the breakup rumors. Kobe’s father, former PBA star Benjie Paras, previously denied speculations of a split, saying the couple was still together.
But with both now hitting the unfollow button, many are wondering if this is the quiet confirmation fans have been waiting for.
As of now, both parties remain mum — but the signs suggest that the once-blossoming romance between the actress and the athlete might have already run its course.
