Veteran actor Gardo Versoza, renowned for his role in Machete, ignited a mix of laughter and concern with a recent Facebook post.

Sharing a nostalgic photo from the 2002 ABS-CBN soap opera Bituin, where he starred alongside the late showbiz icons Nora Aunor and Cherie Gil, with then-newcomers Carol Banawa and Desiree del Valle, Versoza captioned it, “Mukhang ako na ang next ah.” The quip referenced the passing of Aunor in April 2025 and Gil in 2022, suggesting he might “follow” them.
While many fans responded with laugh reactions to the playful post, others found it unsettling.
Filipino historian Xiao Chua commented, “Wag ganun mars,” urging sensitivity.
Concerned fans echoed this sentiment, with Edwin Anggay writing, “Wag naman mader cupcake. Ingat lang palagi at dasal.”
Another user pleaded, “Hala! In Jesus Name..Di mo pa panajon cupcake marami pa tayong takbo na tatahakin..” while one optimistically added, “Wag ganun Mader Cupcake . . . Aabot ka pa ng 100 year old . . . Be healthy always . . . .”
Versoza, currently appearing in TV5’s Lumuhod Ka Sa Lupa and recently in ABS-CBN’s Incognito, remains a fixture in Philippine entertainment. Known for his daring roles in action and sexy films, he continues to thrive in various TV and movie projects.
The post, while showcasing Versoza’s humor, stirred heartfelt reactions from fans, reflecting their admiration and concern for the beloved actor.
