The Filipino love for Korean fried chicken just got a major upgrade with the opening of BB.Q Chicken’s 15th Philippine branch at Robinsons Antipolo—a spacious new location with 130 seats, a VIP area, and a mezzanine floor perfect for events and private functions.

Kim Singson, CEO of KAS Restaurant Group and daughter of former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson, leads the aggressive expansion of South Korea’s premier chicken chain in the country. Along with Genesis BBQ Asia VP Tanya Llana, Kim shared that 15 more branches are slated to open this year, targeting a total of 30 stores by end-2025.

“We want to incorporate more Korean culture, possibly collaborating with K-pop or K-drama artists, and even explore P-pop tie-ups,” Tanya teased. While these plans are still in the early stages, fans can look forward to exciting flavor innovations and celebrity surprises in the future.
Collabs with renowned chefs are also in the pipeline. Chef Tatung created a special adobo flavor last Independence Day, and the team is eyeing regionally inspired dishes using local ingredients like kesong puti from Antipolo, Laguna, and Pampanga.
True to its brand promise of “Best of the Best Quality,” BB.Q Chicken—first launched in Seoul in 1995 and now present in over 3,500 branches across 57 countries—continues to excite Filipino palates with over a dozen chicken flavors including the new creamy onion and orangy citrus variants.

BB.Q Chicken first arrived in the Philippines in 2022 through a partnership between Genesis BBQ and the LCS Group, founded by Chavit Singson. Their team even trained in South Korea’s Chicken University to uphold the brand’s global standards.

With locations from BGC to Pampanga, and upcoming stores in Baguio and SM Mall of Asia, Kim Singson’s bold move is redefining the local fried chicken experience—crispy, spicy, flavorful, and uniquely Korean.
