Up-and-coming artist BAN gives love another chance in his debut single “Magparaya” released under ABS-CBN Music’s Old School Records.
The new Kapamilya singer, whose real name is Brandon Yulo Baculo, is filled with mixed emotions as he reflects on his beginnings as a recording artist.
“Nakakakaba and nakaka-excite at the same time but always hoping for the positive. Sana the listeners would appreciate the music that I’ll put out,” he shared.
The 22-year-old artist started as a model appearing on various brand campaigns and music videos. His musical influences include Arthur Nery and Zack Tabudlo.
“Magparaya,” an alternative pop song, focuses on letting go of a painful past to move forward and find love again. It was composed by Gab Tagadtad and produced by Kiko “Kikx” Salazar.
BAN said, “It’s about someone na may trauma sa past relationship kaya nag-decide siya na self-love muna. But, then someone new came along to the point na hindi na niya kayang pigilan pa and gusto na niya bigyan ulit ng chance ang sarili na ma-fall ulit.”
