In the video, Yassi confidently danced to ‘Gas Pedal’ by Sage The Gemini with the caption: “new TVC dropping tonight ~ guess what?” While many anticipated hints about the new endorsement, several viewers were quick to point out how unrecognizable she looked, with some even mistaking her for other celebrities.
“She looks like Bianca De Vera,” one user commented. “I didn’t recognize Yassi,” said another. “I thought it was Maris Racal in a new show!” “Sorry Yassi, I kept looking for you. Didn’t realize it was you,” wrote another commenter. While some defended the actress, saying filters were likely used in the clip—“Guys, there’s a filter”—others argued that filters or not, they would’ve still recognized Yassi if it were truly her usual look.
