Unkabogable star Vice Ganda has sounded the alarm over a new scam circulating on social media, where fraudsters use his old live videos to deceive the public.
The ‘It’s Showtime’ host took to his official Facebook page to caution his followers against falling victim to this fraudulent activity.
Vice Ganda emphasized that only his verified social media accounts should be trusted and urged fans to report any suspicious activity.
Mag-ingat at maging mapanuri!”
This warning comes shortly after Vice refuted a viral fake quote card falsely attributing statements to him regarding former President Rodrigo Duterte.
The fabricated post, which circulated widely online, claimed that Vice Ganda praised Duterte’s drug war and pandemic response, stating: “Ayaw kong magpakahipokrito ha, aminin natin nung time ni FPRRD, karamihan ng adik nagbagong buhay, karamihan sa mga kriminal nag-uunahang sumuko dahil sa takot kay Duterte.”
Vice immediately denounced the fake quote through his X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook accounts.
“I never stated this. Please report.”
“FAKE NEWS!
The comedian urged his millions of followers to remain vigilant, emphasizing the importance of fact-checking information and reporting suspicious accounts to prevent the spread of scams and misinformation.
