Actor Sam Milby has admitted that despite his failed engagement with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray, he still hopes to build a family of his own in the future.

“I still dream of having a family,” Milby shared in an interview with Boy Abunda on ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’.
At 40 years old, Milby reflected on how his plans have not unfolded as he initially envisioned.
“That’s not my ideal age. Noong dati sa mga interviews ko, lagi kong sinasabi na gusto kong maging dad mga 35 [years old],” he explained. “But the sad truth is, you can make so many plans in life… you have an ideal age, but life doesn’t always happen the way you wanted to.”
Milby also revealed that he feels a significant pressure to have children, as he is the last person in his family who can pass on the Milby surname.
“I feel the pressure honestly because my last name, Milby, is not a common last name,” he admitted. “I’m the last person in my family to carry the last name. May dalawang half-brothers ako, pero never silang nagkaanak… so I feel the pressure to carry on the Milby name.”
Despite the pressure, Milby remains hopeful and open to the idea of starting a family when the right time comes.
Currently, Milby is busy promoting his upcoming film ‘Everything About My Wife’, where he stars alongside Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo. He is also part of the digital series ‘Saving Grace’, which is now available for streaming on ABS-CBN’s platforms.
